Microblading healing process is faster than you think.
If you are healthy, you should be pleasantly surprised how easy and speedy your eyebrows heal. We will go through how your microblading will look like as it is healing and the two most common and popular methods of microblading aftercare.
How Does the Microblading Healing Process Look?
Day 1: I love my new Brows
Everything you dreamed of with y
our eyebrows has become a reality. The Shape and Color, everything is perfect.
Day 2-5: Ahh! My Eyebrows Look Too Dark and Thick!
Your color will become darker slightly and temporarily. This is because the cool color goes through a period of oxidation. It lasts no more than seven days and is minimal. You should not have heavy scabbing. The scabbing will be slight and thin. You should be comfortable going to work the following day. Hair strokes will soften up as the tissue heals.
Day 5-10: Now They’re in the wrong shape and Flaking off.
Your microbladed eyebrows start peeling off as part of the healing process. This will cause irregularities in how your eyebrows look. It is very common to have areas fade more so than ot
hers.
Day 10-15: UMM. My Brows are Gone!
Your eyebrows will look like they disappeared for a couple of days. This happens because your skin is creating a new layer of skin. Do not worry this is just part of the process.
Day 15-30: They’re Back, Just a little Patchy
The color and shape of your eyebrows have come back. You might see some patchiness and shape difference at this stage but that’s why we do the touch-ups!
Touch UpDay: Wow my Brows are Perfect!
Your eyebrows are perfect Now! The touch-up takes care of any fading color or irregularities you might have from the healing process. Also during this stage, you will have the opportunity to adjust anything you would like about your eyebrows.
Keep in mind we can always go thicker or darker during the second session!
People tend to heal differently depending on their skin type.
Aftercare: Microblading Dry Healing vs Wet Healing. Which one suits you?
Here are the two most popular microblading after-care methods:
Dry Healing:
Dry Healing is exactly how it sounds. You don’t get your microblading wet, ever. After your microblading appointment, you do not touch your eyebrows. You let your eyebrows heal on their own with no products, no water, nothing.
PROS: There’s nothing for you to do and no aftercare kit required.
CONS: You’ll have heavy scabbing during healing and you’ll lose more color.
Wet Healing:
Your microblading artist will recommend you cleanse your eyebrows every 15 minutes to 1 hour after your appointment; You will do this for 1-7 days.
You’ll also be asked to clean your eyebrows morning and evening with a gentle cleanser, and told to use our healing gel for 6 days, 3 times a day, to keep your skin from drying out. (Apply with a Q-tip only)
PROS: You’ll have no scabbing and your color will heal much more evenly.
CONS: You’ll have some work to do and an aftercare kit to keep on you.
