When you get a piercing done, you must be aware that there may be minor swelling or scarring to the area. Although not common, some piercings have the potential to reject or grow out. This will only affect very few people. The healthier your lifestyle, the easier it will be for the piercing to heal. Be patient as healing times will vary for each person. If you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
EAR, SEPTUM, NOSE, EYEBROW, TRAGUS
As facial and ear piercings are harder to soak, cleaning after a bath or shower will make the whole process a lot easier.
Healing time: EAR 6-8 WEEKS, SEPTUM 4-6 WEEKS, NOSE 2-3 MONTHS,
EYEBROW 2-4 MONTHS, HELIX and TRAGUS 2-3 MONTHS
TONGUE AND LIP
To clean the inside of oral piercings we suggest using alcohol-free antibacterial mouthwash. It should be used after everything you eat, drink or smoke until the piercing is fully healed. With oral piercings there will be some swelling. This is perfectly normal and the jewellery you have been pierced with is large enough to allow for it. Sucking on ice can help reduce the swelling.
For the first few days with your new piercing eating may be difficult. Start with soft foods and work your way up. It is also advisable to change your toothbrush as your old one may harbour bacteria. The tongue is covered in a thin natural healing agent called peptide which will aid the process.
Healing time: TONGUE 4-6 WEEKS, LIP 6-8 WEEKS
